    Default anyone used.........

i want to buy myself a decent polisher, rather than taking it to spray shop to get buffed up, this is less than half the price on what it would cost me

    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165557

was thinking of buying this, claying, tcuting, then using my 'black box' polish to finish off?

just wandered if anyone has used this before?

Try this. much better than the one in your link.
If your going to use one of those its better to use a light compound to remove any swirls and dull patches etc and then hand polish and then wax to seal it.

angle grinder based ones tend to be heavy, if you use it a lot or for a long time especially on the vertical sides you will see how heavy they are. there are more specialised products out there like the DAS-6 (or by the dodo brand, the buff daddy) which are much lighter and designed for that job but they come at a high price.

    I would agree though

    clay
    compound / ssr
    polish
    seal / wax

some compounds like the megs ultimate compound remove swirling and dirt etc and break down with the use of a rotary into a fine polish thus removing another step in the process (they swirl remove and polish in effect). There are many other products that do that also but thats off the top of my head.
