    Default Siren Installation?

Before i start, I want to make it clear that my car is currently OFF ROAD, and this is purly for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. I am FULLY aware of laws regarding this subject.

So i've got hold of a Whelen Siren - and the questions i have arnt specific to it in perticular, I just thought id make it clear since somebody would work out what i was doing from the questions.

The unit itself is to be mounted on the back of the rear seat, the double section.

First thing first, I need a live and ground - Is there somewhere in the boot area I can take an ignition live from? Or is it best to run it straight to the battery?

The Rest of the wires need to run along the car with two (or 4, if the power comes from the battery) with another 6 that need to go to the center console area.

Where is the best place to run wires internally? Up and over the ceiling trim or along the inside edge

Third Question - Im going to fit a Horn Ring Transfer Switch - this involves cutting the horn cable and wiring the switch in the middle - Is there a good place to mount this under the bonnet? And What route does the horn wire take once its behind the steering wheel?

Cheers for any help, I think i've read that a couple of people are fitters for various emergency services.

    Default

I would tap into the horn by the actual horn in the front bumper. Power can be soured from the rear fuse box behind the left cubby hole in the boot.

The other wires can run around the edge, under the sill trim. If you take the trim up, you will see the factory wires there.

    Goodluck with you 'off-road' installation.
