    Default Flakey lacquer

    Hoping someone can advise me,

    I took the LS badges off at the weekend, only to notice after the first side that there's a hole in the lacquer around where the badge was. At first I thought I'd created it but when going to the other side of the car there was a hole around that badge already there, and another mm's below it surrounding the top of the repeater. It's obviously something I've not seen before but now it's badge-less it's staring at me!!!

    Is there anyway of cleaning it up even if some 2000 grade wet n dry or something? I was using AutoGlym Paint Renovator to clean it up which has gotten under the flakiness somewhat making it stand out more. Here's a pic of what I mean;

    Any wet sanding will remove the colour as well as the clear. The only real way is a spray job imo.

    i think it may have been painted before and they just masked up the badges . looking at respraying it or maybe put a bigger decal on it to cover it . khalid
