    Default iO Play

Been considering options to allow me to play my iPod in the car. My SRi seems to have the most basic stereo (CD30) with no Aux in. I have considered an aftermarket stereo, but double DIN ones are expensive and I think using a single Din one plus adaptor is a bit naff looking. Thought about an FM transmitter but all those on sale seem to get very mixed reviews on Amazon etc and the airwaves in and around Belfast are crowded. Then a web search found a post on a similar topic on a rival forum that suggested an iO Play which is a bluetooth receiver that connects to the back of the stereo to feed output to the car speakers and does handsfree and if you have bluetooth on your iPod (I do as it is a 3rd gen touch) that as well. I don't really need the handsfree as I have a little motorolla bt hands free that clips to the sunvisor, but at around £80 for self fit or £99 supllied and fitted the iO Play seems like a good idea. However anyone on here got one who could comment on the sound quality?

I had the IO Connect installed, which is brilliant, and works without a hitch.
Through a cable rather than bluetooth though.

i had an ioplay, not a bad system but the sound quality wasnt fantastic and it wasnt very loud, for some people this might be fine but unfortunately not for me. Have now upgraded to a parrot mki9200, sound quality excellent and very loud. If you keep your eye on a certain online auction site you can pick them up for round about the same price, i paid £90 for mine. HTH.
