    Default how do I remove vauxhall shadow from bootstrip

    hi guys, debaged the astra the other week and cant remove the "vauxhall" shadow from the bootstrip(seems a bit tarnished). I have tried t-cut but it wont budge anything else I could use?......thanks

    You'll find it very hard to remove mate,I tried and failed and in the end I colour coded it. It seems to have a top layer of chrome that when having something stuck to it and then removed it lifts off.

    i used mrs nail polish remover to get the crap off the strip left by the letters

    After reading the "How to's" I tried WD40, which did the job, then Autoglym Tar and Bug remover, which did the job easier

    I used metal polish on mine came up a treat AUTOSOL CHROME CLEANER METAL POLISH TUBE, this is the stuff

    i used autoglym tar remover to get the sticky **** off and then meguirs metal polish for the chrome , came up great.
