    Default 2.2DTI loss in economy?..

Ive noticed my fuel economy is dropping off. At the start of summer i was averaging 41-43mpg but recently its gradually been decreasing and is now 33-34mpg. At first I put it down to the use of air con during the hot weather but the sun has well and truly ******ed off and its not getting any better!

Can anyone shed any light on the possible reasons for this loss in economy?

P.S. The turbo is still pulling ok

    Cheers
    Dave

When ours was due a service the fuel economy was horrible. I replaced the fuel filter and it got a bit better.

When my intercooler hose pipe had a split in it I noticed a drop in MPG. Think because air was escaping from the hose it made the engine run richer. Either that or I was pressing the GO pedal harder to make up for the slight lack in power!

Check none of your brakes are seizing on. My rear caliper (which is common to do it) seized up overnight after the snow we had this year. I noticed my economy was down and I don't even have the on board computer, I just know how many miles I get per mark on the fuel gauge.
