Default Signum 2.0T is this normal?

Hi. Just bought 03 Signum turbo. Quite suprised at how well and smooth car travels to be honest. am thinking of remap in future, car has covered 70K, is this sort of mileage ok to map? Just a couple of things though, the car seems to run hot under bonnet but shows ok on engine temp. Is this just heat from turbo? And also front brakes seem to get quite hot with just normal use, anyone else found this? Oh and one more, whats with the seat belt anchor in roof??? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

the seat belt anchor in the roof is for the 'middle' seat in the rear, i assume you are referring to the thing above the NS rear passenger.. dunno about the rest of the stuff, my engine gets hot but thats coz i boot down the motorway.... I have never checked my brakes for heat, if i do maintenance on them i always make sure the car is cool, same goes for the engine..

The 2.0T does run hot, especially if you have been driving it hard, and if so, you should hear the fan cutting in very soon after switching the engine off. I had a 2.0T for four and a half years and I never had a problem to do with how hot the engine got, or indeed the brakes.

Thanks for that. True enough the fan kicks in almost straight away after stopping. What does anyone think about mapping a car with 70K on clock?
    Thanks

The middle seat is not the most comfortable ride, but it flips over to be a drinks holder etc and also can then have the travel assistant fitted on top if wanted..

mine was mapped at 90k+ the only issue i had was it showed a weakness in the recirculating dump valve diaphram -(£100 for a repair kit) which on reading further seems to be notmal when this happens on the SAABs with the same B207L engines
