    Vehicle : Vectra

    Trim : SRi

    Engine : 1.9 CDTi 150

    Year : 06

    Mileage : 250,000

    Default interior lighting

My Vectra SRi is used as a taxi, one of the biggest complaints i get is that there is no light in the back

I have seen some vectra's with interior lights in the rear passenger compartment, does anyone know how difficult it would be to wire in an additional light in the back of the car.

The other issue i have is the interior door handles, people cant fine them when its dark, my solution was to take the door car off, drill a small hole behind the interior door handle and fit a low wattage LED bulb so as to backlight the handle.
As my car is full canbus can anyone help with what wires i could use as a live feed?

    Many thanks

Have a look at the How2's here http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70471
There's a couple for the rear interior light depending on if you have the wiring there already or not. Easy enough, just remember you can cut the hole bigger but you cant cut it smaller
For the interior door handle lights i've used the illumination circuit for the window switches - grey/yellow wire. If like me you dont have electric windows in the back you'll have to run a wire into the door.

For the rear light, you could simply run the wires in parallel with the front interior lights, a straightened out coat hanger would work to feed the wires behind the roof lining if you didn't want to drop the whole roof lining to see if the wiring is already there.

As for the doors, I would run the feed from the accessory socket if you wanted them on constantly, or try to pick up a feed from the dash, eg back lights for hazard warning switch if you want them to run with side/head lights. 2/3/4 LEDs shouldn't cause any problems with the canbus.
