Default Vectra navi/dvd player is not working

    Hi,

I bought from ebay dvd player like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Opel-Astra-V...item3359245451

Steering wheel control is not working, back ground lights are not working, car own display is not showing nothing etc. I assume that I got wrong kind of ISO adapter for my 2008 vectra with MP30 player.

Has somebody find out what all the pins on back side stands for?

    Hi,

I have not get any reply from the seller what the different pins means (seller was not same than in link I attached). I heard couple scary examples if can bus wires has been connected wrong. So I took AAC/ Illumination connection from cigarette lighter and snapped totally CAN+/-. I will get back to this if I will get answers.

ACC would be better if it could connected some how so that it will get power when when car key is in position 1. Now its working only when car is running. This because usually ACC is coming through can bus and now coming about 5 V. is not enough for this device.

Open issue still that radio is not working very well, stations will not be founded OK. Reason for this might be, that I assume that in the bottom of antenna there is amplifier which is not getting now any power. How ever I think that this can be solved.

I drove today about 500 kms and tested system, it seemed to work ok. Finnish translations in Navi were terrible, so I will prefer using English. Coming autumn/ winter will show finally what is the quality of this product.

When listening music it seems that sound is better, amplifier is more effective than in old mp30 player. Even if steer wheel buttons and car own display won't work I will probably keep the radio, if I can solve "antenna issue".

I also heard the some have succeeded to make plug and play installation with these "China DVDs" so that all is working ok. So there must be some differences in can bus or/ and adapters delivered.

I selected this model because price was OK and also there were USB connections on the front.
