    Default Insignia Bluetooth.

I have bought but not took delivery yet of a 1 year old insignia Sri cdti 160. The dealer told me it does not have bluetooth fitted but it shows a symbol of a phone on the steering wheel. Does anyone know if this means that it it does have Bluetooth or can I retro fit a kit to the car? I don't collect the car until Wednesday 1st sept..

no just mutes the radio and the other does nothing. push the phone button on the radio if it takes you to a menu it HAS it or if mutes it it DOESN'T. would need to be non-genuine and they have a funny radio system not like a vectra.

As said no it can't be retrofitted, the Insignia and new Astra cannot apparently have any bits added once it's left the factory.
The radio is made by Bosch.

I fitted the kit myself, I didn't fit a parrot this time as I wanted something a bit smaller and classy looking. I fitted a motorola kit that is chrome and black and suits the colours of my dash well, it doesn't have a screen though. You will need to get a lead to convert the stereo lead to suit any type of Bluetooth kit. I fitted the kit myself and it does take some care and patience, there are video tutorials on YouTube that really help in fitting it yourself.
