    Default Sob story

Unsure if this is the correct place to post. Feel free to move if required.

A month or so ago I lost my Chrome V off the front of my car. It blew off whilst driving through Glencoe. I then sourced another one and painted it black and fitted it to my car only for it to fall off near my house. By the time I got back to pick it up, some workies in a van had driven over it. I knew coz the blew their horn and laughed like the ***** they were.

Anyway, my question is, where can I get another on, painted or not, new or old to stick back on? I have tried a couple of online breaker websites but so far nothing. Mr Vauxhall charges quite a lot also. Possibly a aftermarket one would be better. Looking for anyone who has experience of this. Hopefully not the same hassle but at least sourcing and replacing their V.

Try eBay, but to be honest any second hand one will more than likely have some clips missing, it happened to me on the motorway so your not the only one it has happened to!

I ended up going to VX and buying a new one, painted it then glued it on

Yep, I used badge tape to stick mine on. I really thought it would have never came off. Strangely (I think) I never had to remove the bumper or anything, it just pulled off and pushed on so I guess I was asking for trouble.

You do not happen to have the part number do you?

I don't sorry, I just rolled into VX and ordered it lol, I just used clear glue on clips, undone all nuts holding top piece of bumper on and bent back, then put more glue on clips once in place
