Got caught in a rain shower tonight on the M8/M90 so just gave the car a quick hose off of road dirt when i got home, took a quick video of the bonnet and the sheeting ability of Megs #16 and all for £11. You can stick you £200 wax where the sun dont shine and even £40 AG HD is not going to sheet any better than this. Sorry for the dullness it was just starting to turn dark when I took the vid.

There are many good waxes around the 15 quid mark, Colly, Poorboys etc, I just dont understand why anyone would want to spend any more than that?

I've been using #16 for years on my Star Silver and yep it a great Wax. Have you tried #7 under the 16, it just gives it that extra kick

#7 is a Glaze though, is it not? And obviously #16 is a wax. Im not convinced about this glaze over wax or wax over glaze malarkey. Ok ive never tried it, maybe I should.......

Wax over glaze mate. But for shows or for one day's extra bling pop the #7 over the wax Glazes dont work well with sealants however as a sealant needs a pure clean surface to bond but perfect with Wax.

I believe a sealant is a pure synthetic product where wax has carnuba and bees waxes to name a few. Sealants give a different look. Remember a wax or sealant doesn't give the car its shine, its the paint surface that does that, all a wax or sealant does is to protect the surface underneath. Products like AG SRP have fillers in it so it fills small scratches but wash off in the rain so you need to protect it with wax/sealant.
