Its not loud at idle, you can hear it when accelerating under load but even then its not too noisy.

P.s. You do need to change exhaust rubbers to get it to sit right because of the size of the tailpipe.

I had one of those on my old 318is and it was so boomy at motorway speeds I had to take it off. it was pretty loud as well. great if your a kid but not so great if your not.
