Default Fed Up Of Scraping the Splitter

Just got back from deployment and my splitter has been scrapped to pieces buy my dad who has had the car the last months. oinly fitted it before i left so i havvent driven it myself with the splitter on. now i reilse what he means after a few weeks of driving it, im scrapping it left and right.

ive got standard Shocks and eibach springs on, i dont gun the car everywhere and it only does motorway miles. so handling issnt an issue. its more the look of the thing i like, but its stupid at the moment as i cant even look at a curb with out it trashing my splitter.

Does Bilsten B4's and SRI Springs look okay with 18" wheels? obviously it would be great if i could keep the same handling and just raise it a bit but you cant have everything.

am i right in thinking that changing to SRI springs will raise the car 15mm?

    Thanks, Will

I can't understand why your car is soo low

I have 235/40/R18's fitted with my flakes and the car is on 30mm eibachs. I have an Irmy front spoiler fitted for the past year and it's not scraped on anything and we're talking about "sump breaker" speed bumps too.

Were the eibachs the correct axle weights?

yeh the car was there at LMF when i bought them and it was the bloke there who checked for me.

its got to be mabye only 6-8cm off the ground but it definatly dropped alot more than 30mm all around when i did it from standard.

Mabye worn out shocks? and its sagging on its springs?

well height wise id say it was exactly the height of a regular curb as it will slide on to one fine its just when you reverse off it again the horror happens

Worn out shocks may be a possibilty, although they won't change the height they may be making the front bounce lower than it should thus hitting the bumps

Iv got the 06 Sri with the STD black plastic lip at the bottom and I'm constantly scraping it on car park ramps and pavements with a STD setup so Sri might not help unless you are silly low
