    Default mot advice needed please!

not sure if anyone can help answer a question i have. i recently got another dog,now have 3 so more space needed in the car!! i was looking at a vectra estate but was thinking about just removing the rear seats in my signum and leveling the floor with a custom dog cage behind the front seats. this would work out cheaper for me,but just need to know what problems this may cause when it comes to mot time?? any help much appreciated!!

None what so ever if you are just removing the seats and leveling it but if you are planning a custom dog cage it will have to be secured.

oh yeah it will be secure. just not sure if there would be problems with rear seatbelts being needed because it "was" a 5 seater?

If there are no seats there is no need for seatbelts.
Whatever you are planning i would make sure it is fully reversable if i were you as i doubt there is a big market for signums with a built in cage.

Personaly i would flog it and buy an estate because you never know when you will need those seats.

yeah i would make sure it would be fully reversable!! if i dont this to the signum i would be finally gettin a weekend toy with 4 seats in so not too worried about the seats. other option is a vectra vxr estate so best of both worlds, fast and big boot!! just wouldnt mind doin some track stuff in the future and probly not the best car for that!

legacy sports tourers are nice - but limited on boot space - believe it or not they narrow rapidly ar roof height and we had problems with Hamish our labradoodle - he would get in the boot - there was no more space for anything else !! had to invest in a roof box for hols and the whistle noises were terrible from the roof bars when fitted ...even though they were genuine Scooby ones

and as stated if its not fitted they cannot test it - just get your V5 updated to show its only a 2 seater as well

Why would you need to remove the seats and then have to level out the floor when the Signum's rear seats fold completely flat?
