Default Help!!! DVD player stuck in dash

    Hi everyone,

I have a little problem, i have brought this DVD player on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...id=p2759.l1259, i have installed into the dash without plugging in the cables to see how well it fits and now i can't take it out, i believe the double din keys i have work fine, but it keeps on slipping out when i try to remove the dvd from the dash, any ideas on how i can take it out, or do i need new keys.

The dvd unit work fine before i place it into the dash, not sure if this unit was really meant for the Vectra as the unit design looks like for the Astra/Zafira.

    Thanks

try this, put the keys in fully take the heater control unit out and disconnect it, now you can put your hand were the heater controls went and put your hand at the back of the stereo and push it out,

Put keys in but make sure you are not putting them in too far. Then apply a little outwards sidewards pressure (towards the respective doors L/R) and pull at the same time. It should work, the original Vx units can be a pain to get out too.

Did you get the key with the unit or are you just usung generic ones?

The keys are generic ones but they seem to work alright with my original head unit just not this one.

Well to be honest the keys don't seem to be as good as they use to, but having said that still not a big problem with the original unit, is just this one, may be i should try getting some new keys.
