have you checked the drains by the pollen filter? Pop the bonnet and on the passenger side just below the wipers there is a letter box sized flap. have a look in there and poke about for the drain. Normally the drain blocks up and the water comes in via the pollen filter air intake.

    Or use the search button.

You know the problem with that rubber drain outlet is the little lip on the inside.

If it was smooth then the rubbish would just fall right through instead of building up

Just had this prob too, i've just finished drying carpets out with towels and a vax.

I've cleared out drains in scuttle, replaced pollen filter and also re-sealed my aerial as think water was getting in there too. Gonna try leaving that stupid rubber drain outlet under the pollen filter out for a bit so water should drain better thru that hole without it.

Only had car about 10 months but think this problem has been building up slowly and i've only just noticed. Water was building up and poured in when i started driving, came in footwells around where bonnet catch is and same on passenger side.

Anyway, fingers crossed hopefully its sorted now!!

I believe the rubber funnel is there to prevent excess dirt from getting kicked up into the pollen filter. I think it's best to leave the rubber funnel in place for this reason.
