Hi
I had a spring snap last night, drivers rear.No other damage thank god!
When I get it fixed tomorrow,do they need to be replaced in pairs?or is it ok just to replace the broken one?

A bad point on the C, changed both front and o/s rear in the last month, i blame the pot holes?
It is better to replace them in pairs as chances are the other side will be slightly softer than a new one. If ones gone the other one might not be far away from failing too. Very easy job to do if you can find your way around a tool box.
Everyone says pairs but my 04 rg snapped os/ then n/s a couple of years apart i changed them seperatly with no problems!, by the way the replacement springs were brought from a nearly new smasher as a pair (think they were £30 from a 06 rg).
Hi Guys
Thanks for the replys.
I got a couple of springs from a xv breakers, they were from a 2008 sri. When i got home i noticed the steel is a lot thicker, this should be good as the ones coming out are very thin.
I am thinking the thicker springs will be ok? and wont break so soon again.anyone think this will/wont be ok.
for what it costs i would change both and i wouldnt even consider using second hand springs as the oem springs are known for failing and causing other damage
