    Default Turbo problems 2.0 Dti

Recently I have been having problems with my 2.0L Dti. One day I started the car and it was like half the turbo was missing, it just feels a bit weak. Sometimes it is worse than others. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Its an 04 reg with 100k on the clock. No warning lights are coming up.
    Cheers

Yes, it sounds like your vacuum/boost pipes have perished and leaking pressure. Either that or one of your Inter-cooler pipes has split.

I have posted threads on both these subjects plus photos :-)

Check them out here. Althought you have the 2.0dti its almost identical set-up to my 2.2dti.

Almost definitely a boost pipe split. Wiill probably eventually get the dreded spanner too if it gets bad enough and maybe some excess smoke out the back too.

    hmm,
had a split pipe month or so ago and was all good after that, until this new problem. Didn't see any split pipes when was looking for the other split one, but will take another look to be sure.

As ever with this type of problem and especially with black hoses it can often be hard to see any splits. You should check the clips on the previous replaced pipe but chances are it will be another pipe - check inner sides of bends, flex out if poss this should show any rips, splits or tears.

I'd put money on it not being a split boost pipe as you would be getting the spanner light on every time you boot the car.

My thoughts would be leaning towards a split vacuum pipe, check the rubber ends as this is where they split, especially check the one that goes behind the engine to the turbo actuator

I didnt get the spanner light when my inter cooler pipe split and it had split big time! It sounded like a very big angry snake under the bonnet!!
