    Default Hello From Rural Herefordshire

    Hi,

Have been a vectra owner (55 Design Est Diesel 1.9/150) since Oct. Sold beloved Legacy Est(2.0/165, 55) as needed new clutch (last straw) and high maintenaince costs. Bought Veccy as wanted a common (ish) car with low maintenance costs and only local dealer is now Vaxuhall. Also wanted the extra rear leg room in rear of estate against Mondeo competition.

I do mainly B and A road driving with occasional visits to developed world on Motorways. So far have had 2 new rear springs, new EGR, cam belt done, new wiper linkage (did my self thanks ot this site). So now spent the difference between legacy sale veccy purchase (£1k). Looks like veccy may now need a new DMF soon, but it still saves me approx £800/year over Legacy. Actually prefer it, particularly for family use than Legacy, though obviously doesn't drive as well and rubish in snow.

Main/current issue is DPF see :

For anyone wondering - a Bothy is a small, unmanned, old building used for overnight stops in remote country. See MBA site.
