Oh Dear, How bad is a P1125 Fault Code

Hi Guys,

I have the following code popped up on a loan car that the garrage lent me while my Astra comes in,,

do you think its safe for the engine to drive ?


Total number of fault codes: 1
P1125 - Critical system malfunction 2 (refer to checking procedure: trouble code description)
(05) - Present

is it safe to drive it back to the garage ??

P1125 Throttle position sensor intermittent

Sounds like either a dodgy connection, or a faulty potentiometer.

I wouldn't say it's anything you have done (unless you know better), so wouldn't worry about it. I may give them a ring and say the light has come on (has it?), I certainly wouldn't say that I have investigated the fault by using OPCOM etc. You would just be opening yourself up to accusations etc.
