    Default Crankshaft Pulley. Worth replacing?

If I am changing the cambelt, waterpump and fan belt. Is it worth changing the camshaft pulley at the same time???

I know it can be a problem part on the DTIs but do they last on the 1.9 CDTi (120)??

I believe its a git to remove!

    Cheers

cam pulley is held on by a single bolt and as it's a 120, you will have to remove it (dead easy) to replace the water pump. I haven't heard of any issues with the cam pulley on cdti's but the crank vibration damper pulley can give problems.

Yes it is and does, if the car is high mileage and you can afford too, might be worth changing as a precaution. If it's not high miles, check it for play when it's still bolted to the crank, with the auxillary belt off and change if it's excessive.

The car is at 95k miles. Is it worth getting a genuine vx one or one from a motor factors?
