    Default amp, speaker install?

    guys just to confirm something.

    i have an amp
    6x9's
and the +/- and audio cables

do the speakers connect to the amp with audio cables and then from the amp using the rc cables into the back of the head unit?

my question then is how do i then adjust the output of the 6x9 without adjusting the amp?

depending on the amp as u said mate run rca leads to the amp from the head unit then run the speaker wires to the amp 1 6x9 per channel now u can adjust the cross over of the channels but not the power unless its a top end amp as far as i rem but u may be able to adjust them from the head unit depending on your head unit, only outher way is to use your 2 rear speaker outputs from the had unit run them in to the amp speaker in side then then on the out end wire your 6x9s and use your fader on the head unit ie so much to the front sp and so much to the rear sp that would be your 6x9s or buy a stand alone crossover fader unit

    gotcha!

well i think what i'll do is when its fitted just turn my music to the level of loudness that i ever put it at then adjust the 6x9 volume from the amp and then that way it should be alright..

Just out of curosity, what do you reckon a garage would charge to fit these?

Come on, it would be cheaper for you just to buy a Jigsaw and do it yourself. Then if you get into it you have the main tool to make your own system.

i found out i have a jigsaw.. lol im just scared that i'll **** it up lol.
i know it sounds pathetic but ive been advised to use mdf or something but im no good with that kinda stuff so the existing parcel shelf will be used...
i take it the wires are just run down the side then.

right what i'll do is get the jigsaw when i have a free day n try do it.
