    Default Op-Com newbie question

In true man style, I bought an op-com unit... plugged it in without really reading the instructions and started pushing buttons..

I was trying to find out why my ABS light was on, then reset a few times to try various repairs to whatever the problem is...

Do you guys know how it works?

I selected CAN, then chose HS...

Hmm, I really don't know what I'm doing

Infact I accidently made alot of warning lights come up, my headlights flash... then when I started the car everything turned off except the engine haha!

Can anyone enlighten me? Instructions I have are rubbish

To be honest, I know nothing about these things but I did eventually suss out how to use it and got an error code which is causing the ABS light to be on..

I think it probably IS a copy off ebay, which I'm only aware of now that I know they exist and what they are supposed to cost!

    Nevermind

My error code is "C0035-06 Front left wheel sensor circuit open or low voltage"

And when I reset, comes right back on... So I'll jack it up tomorrow and check the sensor wiring I guess!

Best to check wiring it may be a simple wire chaffed but worse case is sensor, not sure if you can buy them separate as the normally come with bearing iirc all though i could be wrong

    Good luck

Think your spot on the mate, my front hub assembly all came as one, ABS sensor, Hub and bearing, there was no visible way they could come as different units. The complete unit comes to about £65 if I remember rightly with the rears being about a tenner more.

by the way nobody has even checked the sensor... I just got the diagnostic that it's that one, the wiring looks ok..

But I might try disconnecting the sensor tonight to see if it can be cleaned...

blimey that sounds more like my budget

I'm a full-time programmer so I'm always keen to jump in and DIY / problem solve... although I'm rubbish and don't have many tools

How difficult would you say it was?
