Air Filter

I fitted a cheapo cone airfilter to my 1.8 vectra a day ago what i had hanging around in my shed. It seemed fine and sounded even better!!. Yesterday its started playing up, when starting up the car the idling was juddery and then it would cut out. I have now but the factory filter back on now and it seems to have stopped playing up.

Has any one else had this problem with aftermarket airfilters?

Well the car did its funny thing again today, so have booked it in for diagnostics for tomoz morning. Luckly i got 3 months warrenty with the garage where i bought the car so their paying for it

Will let you all know what the prob was after i get it back.....
