    Chaps,

    Just been tooling around auto trader seeing what's about, and seen another 2.2DTi saying it needs attention with this in the description;

    "NO RESPONSE FROM ACCELERATOR, ENGINE GEARBOX AND CLUTCH PERFECT WORKING ORDER. STILL DRIVES THROUGH THE GEARS OFF THE CLUTCH BUT NO RESPONSE FROM ACCELERATOR WHEN PRESSED".

    Is that a simple fix? I'm not gonna buy it anyway - although mine's an LS and this one's an Elite and if a simple sensor thing then I could be tempted....

    Could be the throttle position sensor

    Given that it's an electronic throttle, it does sound like it could be a simple fix. If it was a cable one then I'd be a lot more wary as it could be a million things...

    But iirc these are on pedal and you have to buy complete unit which is £££ but i think some have managed to clean them.

    What I was thinking to be honest. Might think about going to see it myself.

    Or on the other hand, it could be the motor/servo/positioner in the injection pump that alters the timing and injection quantity that is playing up.

    A read-out of any fault codes will hopefully reveal what is going on.
