Default Vectra c 58 plate any known problems?

    Hi brand new on here!

Just got the vectra c 58 plate with just 5k from new it drives fine which it should but reading the net seen it may have a DPF fitted?, It's a manual 6 speed 1.9cdti 120bhp.

Also when taking corners a little sharp the rear end doesn't seem to grip the corner like the astra did is this normal?

Any other known problems with this car to be aware of as it's still in warranty, Many Thanks..................

    Vehicle : Insignia

    Trim : SRI VX-Line Nav

    Engine : 2.0 CDTI [170 PS]

    Year : 2015

    Mileage : 27000

If you open the driver's door and look at the black plate, along with the axle weights you will see a number either 0.5 OR 1.20,

If 0.5 You have a DPF

    If 1.20 You don't have a DPF.

    Hope this helps.

I would say you don't then, the 150 says 1.20.

if yours is a manual hatch, no dpf, only the auto hatch and estate have a dpf. 120's are pretty relieable, main things are DMF and EGR valve.

egr valves stick , yes like the 150,s. Personally if its failed or failing, get a new one (prices aren't as bad as they once were) and clean the boost sensor while the EGR valve is off, as you can get to the fixing bolt easier. Many have cleaned EGR's only to have other issues or it doesn't last long. DMF's, well, $64000 question really, some have failed as low as 7k other cars have 150k no issues. Mine has 105k and so far, touch wood, DMF ok. They do give ample warning by getting noisey first, some members here have had rattling DMF's for thousands of miles.

Some the later CDTI 150 manual hatches have them don't know why some do some don't.

Deffo a 120. '88Kw' equates to 118bhp which is the published bhp figure (equal to 120PS) for that engine.
