    Vehicle : Astra GTC VXR

    Trim : VXR

    Engine : 2.0t

    Year : 2013

To be honest it wouldn't be worth it. Either engine would require full re wire, new ecu and engine mounts also the costs involved would be extremely high.
The 2.0t engine can be tuned to produce well over 200bhp and considering the Astra VXR and Vectra VXR have between 250 to 280bhp i would tune yours (unless you have thousands burning a hole in your pocket).

Get a good remap for yours and it will be a whole new machine. The 2.0T is a well sought after engine and i personally would love one but they are pretty rare up here.

If you really really want a VXR, then probably best to chop in the Siggy for one. Swapping out the drivetrain just doesn't make sense. Even if you get the engine/gearbox/mounts/loom/ECU right, you still won't have the correct suspension/struts and you'll end up with something that will be very difficult to sell on.

    All imho,

or you could all ways buy a Siggy 2.8t like i did! £6000 for a shed load of car. I swapped my 2.0t for the 2.8t and its worlds apart. And with a simple map you should hit over 280 bhp no probs.

Astra VXR engine will be a complete ball ache lol been there myself.

Vectra VXR you'll need everything, mounts, shafts etc etc but to run it you'd need stand alone ideally but the cost will be stupid and would be cheaper to buy an ex police car.

As has been said already, get a remap for yours, you'll give Vectra VXR's a scare then You won't be as fast, but you'll make the VXR work hard

Hey, stranger conversions than this have happened. Someone put a big v8 in an astra for example so anything is possible. At least you know the vec vxr engine and box will drop in without modifying the chassis etc.

It's still going to be a massive job, and i get the impression you don't know what you are getting yourself in for. To pay someone else to do it all would cost many £thousands.

We can all say "just get a real vxr", but this is a signum. If this conversion were a success it'd be one of a kind. Got the cash and the time, go for it.

i would do as someone else suggested though -- get a 2.8t signum, then look at ways of making that a vxr beater.

with various remaps, filters, zorsts and injectors then 240bhp is achieveable so you wont be far behind a vxr and damn near matching a stock astra so think very carefully before you take the plunge matey.

I'll correct that a little for you.

Even if he's not as quick a the vxr he'll still have a very quick car once modded anyway, the 2.0T is a cracking engine in it's own right.

Oh and keep the badge, I'd love to see the look on a Scooby WRX drivers face when he sees that a 2.0T overtook him(By now ther probs fed up seeing the back end of 1.9 and 2.0T vecs).
