    Default Installing a CD70 Vectra C

    Howdie,

I have a Vectra C which comes as standard with the CD30 and associated screen.

I would like to get a CD70 with Satnav unit and install it. I understand that it needs to be "divorced" from the donar car before it can be installed in a different car.

Apart from swapping the head unit itself, i would have to change the display that comes with it. Will the screen be a direct replacement for the current "orange" one?

I take it that all the functions that i currently get on my CD30... Range/MPG/Avg Speed etc will still work. Are there any additional functions that will be available?

Any other info on functionality, fitting etc would be greatly appreciated.

    Rgds

I am also interested in this for mine. I looked into it before and as far as you know you need a devorced screen and headunit, which then need to be programed to your car. You also need a RGB lead. Then for sat nav funtions, I think you need a new aerial, roof wiring and sensor for in the little grill in the middle.... Let me know if you get it done!

For the sat nav you just need a GPS patch aerial with a fakra plug which are about £10 from ebay. No need to replace the whole aerial loom.

You can use a matched pair of headunit and screen (plus RGB cable) and they will work but to get additional functions to work you do need the code.

You can have additional functions like washer fluid level warning, that involves installing a sensor and a bit of wiring. Will tell you which light bulb is faulty.

Thanks for the replies... I take it the RGB cable is what links the Screen to the CD70?

What are the additional functions which will work with a "code"? I am not too interested in functions which require additional wiring.

    Cheers
