Yet another great meet, my first with the North West Crew and what a lovely bunch they are too
Me and The Gopher started out at just before 6am this morning for the meet, arrived at Lymme at 8.35am so made pretty good time, without exceeding the speed limits Met a new member there in Dave with his lovely GTS badged SXi, the Drinky's also met up with us and Plasma there and we got our first look at the Super Touring alloys on the Vectaru, erm...'interesting' springs to mind lol.
A spirited run up to the beach followed and an even more spiried ride down the beach saw me doing a 270 degree handbrake turn after a couple of little tryouts
Great BBQ followed, well done Chris, excellent food and top job from Ian for supplying the grub.
Got to meet a couple of new faces and some old ones from PVS and of course had a good laugh with MacPlasma (or should that be a good laugh AT Plasma?).
It was also nice to pop up to the car park to meet some of the Vectra Sport crew, had good look around a few of their 'historic' motors some very nice cars there
The fly past was awesome and I can't wait to see the photos. Us and Plasma had a bit of a calamity on the way home, finding the M6 was closed from J15-J16 with tail backs up to J18 so we dropped back into Lymm for a regroup and a look at a map to see what the best options were, Dean headed out East on the M56 and we went West towards Wrexham and then drove down through the middle of Wales and what a fantastic drive! Just love the A483 and A470
So here's some pics:
And of course, captions welcome:
