Rears are easy to do, but the fronts require the aid of a set of spring compressors. If you got a set its an easy 2, maybe 3 hour tops, job for a the home DIYer.

Should be able to do it yourself no probs. Just need spring compressors as mentioned. Be careful though cause if they slip out of them, it'll go off like a rocket.

I used the Lazer spring compressors and found them really good. I got mine online but Halfords sell them.

Don't scrimp on cheap compressors. If the spring slips it could literally kill you with the force it's under. Best case you'll cause serious damage to whatever it lands on.

As mentioned you must have the adequate quality tool. Going to cost 30 odd quid or so i suppose. Might as well just pay a good mechanic unless someone can lend you the comp.
Without adequate equipment, nevermind diy it could be kill-yourself.

Don't forget when the springs are changed you will need the camber/toe setting checked and adjusted if required --- unless you want excessive tyre wear.

Hi Leo....would the standard shockers need changing also ????

Thinking of possible shock absorber 'travel' length problem with shorter springs>
