    havn't changed mine yet and dont really want too, it is tough to get at them, damn silly place to put a serviceable item. I hear that they can be got with a deep socket on a long extention bar with a swivel on the end.

    We really could do with a how to on this for the 120's

    im guessing its not the same as the 1.9cdti (150) engine? that took a 9mm deep reach socket on a quarter drive t-bar and bob's your uncle!

    Im guessing its at an pain in the arse angle? and they can snap if the pressure aint right when you undo them

    it's not the same as the 150, no. They are nice and easy on top of the engine, 120's are shoved right round the back under everything, grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

    i think the 120's need a 7mm socket, i,m sure they have a different size head and are a much shorter plug than 150's.

    found this on a thread from Nov 2009;
    take the egr valve of to get to cyl 4 and for cy1 & 2 their is a small fuel block on the manifold that might need to come off its held by two t30 torq bolts. even then a little fiddley

    i have tried it on my 120 but its a pain in the arse as they are right down under the inlet manifold think they are a 10mm deep socket just the angle is a bit tgt to get onto them.

    need to find and easy way to do it as don;t really wana start stripping the engine down again as i have just had to put in a new injector clamp stud and injector which was a pretty easy job

    yeah, 10mm deep socket, i checked too and boy are they hidden, even with taking off the egr and that fuel block they look a nightmare. I was wondering if it would be easier from underneath if the car was on a ramp.

    hi barney 490 don't think it will be any easier as you will need to come in from the top of the engine some how
