    Default Car Detailed Today

Well my Bilt Hamber Auto clay arrived today so it was straight to action at 10am.
Washed the car, rinsed it then clayed it. Was really surprised at how easy this was to do and the results remarkable to say the least. Rewashed and re-rinsed it, bladed it and chamoised it dry.
1 coat of Auto Gylm Super Resin, then 2 coats of Meguiar's #16 on the body and 3 coats on the roof, bonnet and tailgate. Must admit this was hard going as the sun kept breaking through, I really should have used my electric polisher but I battled on without.
Plastic skirts all treated with AG Bumper Care and windows cleaned inside and out with AG Glass Polish. Inside given the usual hoover out.

First picture is of the clay after just one half of the roof was done. For anyone unsure of claying their car its defiantly well worth the effort, took me about an hour to do the whole car, im guessing next time it wouldn't take anywhere as long as this.

Oops forgot to close the rear door

i use the auto- bright clay . and you wash the car then i use a smalll bit off clay and a quick detailer/eg some just use water like the bilt hamer .then just rub it over the car and you should see the dirt come off . as the clay gets dirty kneed it and turn it over till you get a clean piece and keep going. i wash the car again then dry/polish/wax .you should feel the paintwork will be nice and smooth . go onto detialingworld.com and look at some off the posts. ..khalid

Yea just like Khalid said barney. Its very easy to use, a lot easier than I thought it would be. Some use Detailing spray which as far as I can see just gives them an excuse to charge more but the bilt hamber one only needs water and is only £10 off ebay, they recommend cutting the bar into 4 pieces and each piece will last 4 to 5 times so its not expensive at all. Its hard to believe just how smooth the paint work is now.
I wonder how someone found out about claying? I mean surely someone never just decided to rub some clay across their car and see what happened?
