Default What car should i have

at the end of august i will be buying a vectra but cant decide what to go for now, i had set my mind on a 1.9 sri nav but 2day i have seen a 1.9 elite and i like all the toys on it, also have seen a 1.9 design with nav half leather etc. what are they main differences between all the trims and also does the elite or design have xenon lights, and does the electric windows on any of these cars go up and down via the remote control key fob. thanks

None of these models come with xenons as standard, they were optional, if any have headlight washers then they will have xenons.
The trouble with elites most are basic elites with no extras, they all come with sat nav, climate and leather and thats about it, Park asist, xenons, electric seats, sunroof, bluetooth, are all extras, so make sure you look for one with some extras,
As for SRI its the same again but most are basic SRI spec, again look for one with some extras. Also dont buy a 1.9, get a 3.0 cdti, youll loose a bit of MPG but much more reliable engine than that 1.9 rubbish..

    Vehicle : Vauxhall Astra-J

    Trim : Elite

    Engine : 2.0 CDTi

    Year : 2013

    Default

Window control from the remote fob for both up and down only worked up until mid 2007. After that the fob only closed the windows.

See Parkers website for more info on specs, toys fitted as standard / optional extras.

ive heard a bit of bad news about the 3.0 cdti aswell as the 1.9, which is really the best engine and does the 3.0 have the same dmf problem as the 1.9?

Ive never had a problem on a 3.0 cdti with DPFs only 1.9, they do have a few probs but NO WHERE near as much as 1.9s,
I probably repair at least 2-3 a week for flywheel faults, EGR faults, Manifold faults, DPF faults, waterpump failures, basically its probably the most unreliable engine that vauxhall have used, nearly as bad as the old X20XEV...

They are not as good as the 1.9 on fuel, about 30-35 round town, 40-50 on a run, but the money you save on repair bills if you have no warranty makes up for the slight less MPG, the power delivery of a 3.0 is instant, no horrendous turbo lag like a 1.9, drive one thats all i can say, also you cant beat the sound of a 6 cylinder, I used to own one, it was a fantastic car, my friends has 3, he would never have any other diesel.
