Default Broken rear coil spring on 04 Signum

Hi folks,I know this may have been answered on another thread but I'm posting this from my phone and don't have time to scour through them all until I get home.
Basically I have an 04 Signum which failed it's MOT last night due to a cracked rear coil spring. I've already had to pay out £190 for a flexible hose for the exhaust this week and was wondering if anyone could give me a rough cost for one?. The reason that the hose part was so expensive according to the exhaust centre was that it was a dealer only part and a 'universal' wasn't available. If this is the case with the spring, are they the same spec as an 04 Vectra,as I would expect they would be easier to source. Sorry about the long post but as you can gather I'm not tecnically minded.

you could try local motor factors,i replaced both my rear springs on my 2003 sri for £58.I know the sri springs are usually shorter but can't see it being any more than £30 for a spring.

To save even more money follow the how to and change it yourself. It took me less than an hour to do both mine and rear arb bushes

As for the front flexi it is a dealer only part as you need to buy the whole downpipe however, many exhaust places can weld in a new flexi for about 60 quid, worth remembering

Thanks for the replies folks. My mechanic got the spring for £34 and is going to fit it for me for £25. Not too bad I think, was expecting a lot more.
Thanks for the tip about the exhaust John, the mechanic told me that today also,so I'll know next time round!!
