Turbo problems on my signum 2.0dti

Hi guys, wonder if someone can help me, a couple of weeks ago my signum kept going into limp mode, so took it into a garage to be plugged into a computer, must add not a vauxhall garage, anyway it came back that my air flow meter had gone so he changed it, but there was still a fault and mechanic noticed i had a split in my turbo hose which was makin the car go into limp mode after goin over 3000rpm, so spent £120 on a new hose and changed it tonite but on start up after we had fitted hose it kicked out the biggest black cloud out of the exhaust and now when i drive it there doesnt seem to be any action coming from the turbo, no sound, no pull, nothing and back into limp mode so im wondering if anyone has any ideas on the cause of my problems. Is it wise to go to a dealer rather than a general garage?

Check all of the small vacuum pipes (including the rubber ends)

Also worth giving the EGR/Boost sensor a clean

well problems solved, there was a small vaccuum pipe off, so plugged it back in and everythings fine. So thanks for advice john it worked a treat.

Dont want to hijack here just you no the turbos on the 2.0dti mine makes wushhhhhh soumd is that normal more like a airrr noise. Were are the vac pipes located ?
