led daylights fitted

hey guys fitted my led day lights into my fog surrounds today "jigsaws are great fun lol"
wired to my side lights, but.. they flash when lights are off .. any adivce appreciated lol
have a look at the pics n tell mi what you think

You will need a resistor putting in series with each LED strip.
There are loads of threads about this.

It is quite normal for LED's to strobe or flash in this way, due to insufficient resistance through the circuit.
It may or may not also put up a bulb warning symbol on the small left-hand display in the dash panel...the one that tells you when the doors or boot are open along with other warning symbols.

HID's have the same effect!!, they use a canceller for this.

think i'll try n source some resistors then , yeah i had the problem with the hids and got the canbus pro kit from hids direct , i wil need to take wiring n do it again anyway "make it abit neater lol thanks mate

what led set did you put in? (as i want to put led DRL on mine and tech2 my normal DRL off)


Why not wire it to an ignition live? that way you dont need to turn on the side lights?

wiring to the ignition live would be best idea, if not wire to sidelights using relay to stop flashing.

i wanted to do this on my face lift but didnt look right, however looks smart on the preface

i just dropped a set of led side lights into my fogs........................

i wouldt have guessed that there was room for 15 cm drl... as theres only room for one like 10cm on my prefacelift to fit it on..
