p0335 crankshaft sensor open circuit

any ideas on why i have an open circuit on my crankshaft sensor?

possibly faulty sensor, poor connection between wiring and sensor, poor connection between engine loom and ecu.

i have replaced the sensor with a genuine part and still the ecu does not see it, i have checked the wires for continuity from sensor all the way back to ecu connector and seem fine, there is no difference whether the sensor is unplugged or not i still get the same fault
