    Asper previous threads am looking for some advice, now am a pure novice and looking for a good entry level camera, i have been reading loads of reviews and getting lots of feed back, i have decided to go for this

    What do you think, opinions please

    Sony A390
    18-55mm lens and 55-200mm lens. 14.2 Megapixels. CCD image sensor. 2.7-in LCD screen. Live View Mode - pentamirror switched view. SuperSteady Shot. Exclusive image sensor. Built-in flash and interchangeable lenses. SD/SDHC memory card. Black

    hi m8
    i got a sony a200 similar to yours but not as good.
    its a great camera for the novice(like me) upto the pro.
    very easy to use and takes fantastic piccies
    you cant go wrong imho with the sony range

    Morning!

    I have the A230 and like you, i'm a complete novice with SLR's so I wanted something fairly simple that I can use.

    Mine (which is obviously a few models down from yours) still has loads of features on it and some I still don't understand, thank goodness for the 'Auto' mode. It does helpfully have on screen guides.

    As mentioned, can't go wrong with Sony.

    As your a pure novice, you will be mind boggled by all the settings on that camera Spenny, my advice is for you to go for this camera as a starter....so easy to use you could do it no problem.

    £550 all in I think that's a twin lens package , spare battery , case , and all other stuff

    i used to have a Nikon d90 mate fantastic camera now got a nikon d5000 with the same sensor as the d90 and is a fantastic camera with amazing image quality and spec and it also does hd video too!! get yourself another lens like the Nikon 55-200vr or a sigma or tamron 70-300mm and bits and bobs for the same money
