How do you know if an ex police car is running VXR Running gear? apparently mine is

Yours is running GSi gear mate, it was only the facelift specials that had VXR brakes,engine,gearbox

If yours is the pre facelift in the picture then it won't be, it will be running SRi/GSi suspension with 314mm brakes and the 3.2 V6.
The facelift V6 turbo's as far as i'm aware also stuck with SRi suspension but upgraded to 345mm VXR brakes.

cheers matey, just my mate ran my number plate through some database at work (he works for DVLA) It was highlighted as a Vectra SRI V6 SPECIAL.

All of the Police Vectra's are "Specials" Dvla have got it right

Think of it as a poor spec GSi or a better spec Sri - with a few bits missing.

yeah but what i payed for it,its hell alot of a car for the money
