Sprayed battery cover

Thought id give it a quick go today spraying my battery cover,only had a little bit of Ultra blue left but had a full tin of star silver 2

Should i just spray it all Silver or do you reckon CC with car ?

Liking the silver, i'd sand it down tho to get it as smooth as possible as it'll catch the light better... Having to do my battery cover again as i didn't flat it enough...

Might have to do it again too mate

only had 1200 grit and i sanded it for ages lol but you can still see the pattern.
Need to give engine bay a clean too lol its been neglected for ages

I'm no expert, but would it not be possible to use a high build primar to fill out the dimples and save all that rubbing down.

should be ok mate, or look for primer filler, goes on quite thick and dries quickly enough to get a few good layer's on in a short time

I 400 gritted all mine before i did them too, kinda melted the coating off my air box using a sander but the covers are as good as my body panels now... Except the battery that is
