BIG PROBLEMS - car wont start!!! HELP

Right guys i've cleaned all the earths , checked all the fuses and relays are correct. I've checked the plugs on the headlights. I've tried jumpleads and still nothing. Gutted!

Hi thx for the reply m8 the new parts that i fitted were...

Passenger airbag
Drivers airbag
Airbag Ecu
Front Seat Pretensioners
1 front airbag crash sensor (new from stealers)
all part no.s matched those of the ones taken out.

Power steering pump
Airflow meter
Radpack

There the only parts with wiring that have been changed.
When i got the car the the relays had been nicked out of the fusebox next to the battery and i replaced them to match m8s 2.2 54plate so there right.

Every fuse and relay is fine , all wiring is ok and everything is plugged in as it should be. Getting desperate now

Problems... so far

New battery fitted (battery is ok)

When putting the key in the ignition and turn the key nothing happens on the clocks , the headlights turn themselves on and wont go off till you take the key out. You can also hear the fuel pump working for a second or two as it should. The interior light works , the boot light works and thats all no hazards nothing else.

The key wont lock or unlock the car , if i put it in the drivers door lock and turn it , it just locks the drivers door.

If i press the lock button on the door panel it locks all doors and unlocks

I turned the stereo on and it was playing a cd , i pressed tuner and the radio came on , press cd nothing happens press eject nothing happens and the screen and stereo are not illuminated

I can also put the windows up and down and open the boot with the controls on the door panel.

apart from that its DEAD!!!!

...also checked and cleaned the abs connector and the connectors going to electric power steering pump.

Hi the headlight are on, because you did not connect the head light switch properly take it out and have look at the connection, hopefully the rest of the prolems will be ok, if this fails recheck all the connecters around the dash. espicially the earth ponts

cheers for the reply i've had the dash out again just to make sure (even tho i kno i connected everything) just to eliminate connections. Everything is definatley plugged in and most LOCK into place.

truely mind boggled.

I would say if its been sat for ages with bonnet up maybe water has gotten into fusebox

this maybe your problem

The car was outside before i got it so that could be possible but looking at the fusebox both sides look clean and all contacts look good but i'll recheck it tomorrow just incase i've missed something. Thx m8
