Default is the dealer at it

took the car to the dealer on 12/07/2010 car failed to start a couple of times and sometimes makes a banging sort of noise when starting

dealer said it was probably the flywheel and to bring it back next week as they were busy

took the car back to the dealer on 19/07/2010 only to be told vauxhall never sent the parts and to come back in next week

car booked in for tomorrow 27/07/2010 just had a phone call from the dealer saying that vauxhall have issued a memo saying that any blueness on the fly wheel and they will not cover it under warranty (this memo is apparently a couple of months old)

the dealer is going to phone me back on wednesday after he has spoken to vauxhall to clarify things

me personaly i think they might be at it

    any help guys

think he was trying to say that it was people riding the clutch and burning the flywheel thats what i thought he was getting at .

think they don't want to do it in case the warranty doesnt cover it cause he said it's a big job to get to it and who would be paying for it if there is this so called blueness

Blueing is caused by riding the clutch but can also be caused by the clutch slipping so difficult to prove it was you and not a fault, it could be the DMF as its clunking and banging and could have damaged the cluth plate anyway don't see why they won't cover it sounds daft to me and they won't know till its off anyhow so it needs done so they need to get on with it.
