Default Dont Trust The Fuel Computer!

Went to go out today had 11 miles remaining on my rangeometer got 100 yards down the road and the car coughed and sputtered then stopped and would not restart
so went and got the wifes car to go get 5 litres of derv and put that in, took ages to get her going again! and when i did it was in limp mode!

Tried to start it 2 hrs later and luckily all was fine

I have run the car lower than 11 miles remaining before, i have a petrol station just round the corner so i do that quite often but this has never happened before so beware!

Had 3 miles left showing on mine the other day. Drove 4 miles to the petrol station and only got 54 litres in!

thats because the fuel had been used it takes a while to get round the system, sometimes when this happens the injectors need cracking!

Do you have a tuning box on Gizmo? These are well know to throw the fuel computer off, certainly with reported mpg, so quite possibly with the range also.
