Bumper off on a facelift as grill is clipped in from back. I imagine it is the same for pre-facelift.

I pushed mine out without taking the bumper off. Just push really really hard! (mines a facelift).

Sorry, mines pre-face... anyone taken it off a pre-face without bumper removal?

For practicalities, bumper off
However there are two large slot clips on each side
Push these towards the centre of the bumper and push the front of the grille towards the radiator
Getting it is tight, but should be possible by letting it drop down and then rotating
