Just a quick question, the Travel assistant, how is it cooled? When its on, can you hear any noise, any at all? How long does it take to chill?
I'm not sure mines working, although I only drove with it on for 15 mins or so...

If you turn on the ignition and switch it on, you can hear the fan going mate. It is very affective at keeping thigns keep if they're already chilled...
It's silent from what I remember, can't really comment on how long it takes to get cold as never paid that much attention when I had mine.
Well, no fan and I've just tried the travel assistant power sockets too, they dont work either! Grrrrr!
I knew I shouldnt have waited a year+ to fit the dam thing! LOL
Checked the fuse mate...?
Damit, I cant find a multimeter, I'll have to buy a new fuse in the morning and follow the wiring again. How many pins should the assistant have at the plug? 2?
Uhh - which plug mate...? It's got the fuse holder thingy which plugs into the fuse box and allows the fuse already fitted to still be used, and then splits that power feed into whatever the TA needs at the baseplate..
Was it fitted when you got the car..?
Well, I ran a multimeter over all the connections, all worked fine, fuse fine...
Turns out that the red plug with the fuse that was supplied in the fitting kit was made wrong, the live wire was the wrong side of the blades, either that or my fuse box is??
Any way, it works now. Had to hot iron the plastic plug apart and make a grove for the wire to pass to the other blade. Sorted. Stupid car!
