NTS.Oil and filter change.

Hows good is this from National Tyre Service.Oil and filter change,(the oil was 5w-30 fully synthetic),exhaust down pipe bracket welded and all my rubber suspension bushes sprayed with lube..........£45!!!!!.RESULT.

Which National Tyres did you go to??
I used to go to the one in cheadle on Stockport Road/Councillor Lane.
Only been for tyres though and they've always been competitive.

i used to work in national and they use good oil aswell iirc its duchams for diesel engines and castrol magnatec for petrol engines

i'm booked in for next friday. oil change (castrol edge) £36 and will tell them not to use the air gun to tighten the sump plug.......

Strangely saw Castrol edge 5l in Halfrauds at £39.99 today.......Go figure

I phoned them today and asked if I could use the genuine VX oil filter in the service but they declined stating warranty issues if they did and had to use their non genuine one. Therefore doing it myself using my uncles pit in the morning. Got the oil from VX 5w30 LL for £30 and filter for £4 so they are a good price at £36.

The one on Hillgate or should I say just off Hillgate in Stockport,(just past Andrew Pages',through the new set of lights and its one of the streets on your right).Their telephone number is 0800 093 8327,and it was paul who did the work,top bloke.They also have a pucker mechanic on site who specializes in Vectra clutches!!!! Got to say they offer a cracking service.

Like you,I priced the goods up front and on the oil and filter they couldn't have made that much!!.

Not sure how they do it either but im assuming they are buying their oil on bulk as opposed to 5lt bottles. Maybe Signumturbo could enlighten us on that. Dont buy tyres direct from them, always go through www.tyreshopper.co.uk. Normally around £10 a tyre cheaper through this third party, another thing that makes no sence either. If you go to National tyres website they always have good voucher offers too. I just had my tracking done for half price, £14.
