Alarm Sirens...

Well seeing as one of my mates of Astra Owners Network astra has been nicked tonight outside his house with on street parking and he has still got the keys... were thinking its been a hi ab or a transporter... but seeing as my vec has got a tilt sensor on and the siren is soo ****** quiet... (god know why they put it in the boot... i want the loudest siren you can get... and i will wire it under the bonnet and also keep the one in the boot... so has anybody done this or got any suggestions ...

can you not take wire off one in boot and it sounds the horn instead?! am sure i read that some where?!

yeah you can but it still wont be loud enough.... im after litterally waking half of shields up with it... lol

I've been looking for one recently for something else, but the loudest i've seen is around 120db...

ive just read something about using a house alarm siren... but it may need some modifying... i may even just go out and buy a couple of air horns and wire then in specifically for the alarm... muahahaha... but at least whe my alarm goes of it will have most of the street up at the windows going wtf is that lol....

There is a reason they are 120db, I am fairly sure they are limited to 120db outputs.

just buy a set of musical air horns and swap the tubes around so it makes a diff tune and then u will deffo know if its your alarm going

this is scary ****. any one else know of cars being stolen with out keys?

you can also install a gsm gps tracker, that comes with its own shake sensor, and can be connected to cars existing alarm. it will notify you via SMS text. when car is shake of car alarm trigers, also has gps tracking, can even wire it up to fuel pump,

i got one but have not yet install it. check my post here
