Just Been to vauxhall, Fly wheel going already after only 7 months of driving!

I bought my car from evans Halshaw Vaxhall in Horsforth, Leeds. taken it there for various thing doing including a new clutch, flywheel and gearbox which was completed in january/ febuary this year. Hard work getting the point accross to them about problems with the car. Took it to JCT600 Vauxhall in Bradford this morning on the offchance they might be able to help and there technician came out, sat in the car and reved it a couple of times and said the flywheels on its way out! they then booked me in for wednesday next week as my warranty runs out on the 12th of September! Brilliant service allready!
Has anyone else known a flywheel to last such a little time? I think its discracefull really as if id of payed for the work at the start of this year then having to pay again! think it might be time to change car next month to something newer with warranty!

That is almost unbelievable how short a time that the DMF has lasted. All I can think is the previous garage didn't do a proper job 1st time round??

Sounds like your receiving good service from this garage and still in warranty too so that's good. Hope you get it sorted properly this time and it lasts as it should for you.

iv just had my dmf changed and they put the old clutch back in because i wouldn't fork out for a new one ...
iv emailed vauxhall as i thought if the dmf was faulty and getting done under warranty the clutch should also have been replaced

Are you sure they actually changed the flywheel because i can't see one going that quick

Nope they wont change the clutch if its ok

changed one on a zafira 120hp at 17,000 miles which was f#@:ed
