    Unhappy Suspect Turbo-related Problem

    Hi everyone,

    Back again - after sorting my engine overheating problem and something else has occurred with my Vectra (2004 1.9 CDTI 150)

    After roughly 2.5k revs in any gear, I can start to hear a whining/whistling noise. The turbo doesn't feel like it's kicking in either.

    There is no car with spanner light on the dash and EML doesn't come on. I can't say as I've seen any strange coloured smoke coming out of the exhaust either.

    Any ideas?

    are your intercooler, hoses + boost hoses still intact with no crack / split
